We have a dedicated team who specialise in providing environment and planning law services in NSW, the ACT and the Commonwealth. This allows us to offer all of our clients high quality environmental law experience and expertise with personable and efficient service.

Our Planning and Environment Lawyers can assist with all aspects of planning and development in NSW ranging from the processes involved in making, considering and determining development applications, interpreting planning legislation and planning instruments, drafting planning agreements, and representing clients in the Land and Environment Court of NSW and alternative dispute resolution forums.

We also provide environmental law services in NSW – including advice about threatened species issues, biodiversity certification and conservation, contaminated land and heritage issues, clean-up and prevention notices under the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997, and acting in prosecutions for offences under that Act (whether our client is being prosecuted or bringing a prosecution).

Our planning and environmental law practice in the ACT is focused on assisting private clients navigate the Territory’s unique planning framework to secure their development objectives by providing advice and, where necessary, legal representation in the ACT Administrative and Decisions Tribunal and the ACT Supreme Court. We can also assist in investigations and prosecutions for planning or environmental offences in the ACT.

Our team can act for individuals and, as a Pre-qualified Service Provider for the Australian Government’s Legal Services Multi-use List (LSMUL), the Commonwealth in relation to environmental law issues arising under Commonwealth law. This includes advice on contaminated land issues and environmental regulation and enforcement under the Environment Protection Biodiversity and Conservation Act 1999 (Cth).
